Goal
The goal of this task is to only keep the Under construction tag on pathways that are actively being edited.
Criteria for pathways to be approved:
- All interactions between genes, proteins and other pathway objects must be connected
- >90% of datanodes (genes, proteins, metabolites etc.) must be annotated with external database references
- Each pathway must have a complete description, meaning a minimum of 2-3 sentences summarizing the process that the pathway describes
- Each pathway must have at least one literature reference
- Each pathway must have a minimum of one pathway ontology term
- Pathway titles must adhere to our pathway title guidelines
Instructions
- Open the list of pathways under construction at WikiPathways Classic. You will need to be logged in at WikiPathways.
- Open each pathway on the list to review:
- Keep the Under construction tag on any pathway that is new, or has recent edits (within the last 30 days).
- Remove the Under construction tag from any pathway that either appears complete or is OVER 30 DAYS old and is no longer being actively edited. Then process as follows:
- If the pathway looks like a tutorial or test pathway, or has no database annotations, no recent edits, no description and unoriginal content, then add the Request deletion tag.
- If the pathway has promise (e.g., some original content) but needs substantial work, then add the Incomplete tag, and add a note outlining necessary changes.
- If the pathway is reasonably complete, but could still use some work, then add the Needs work tag, and add a note outlining suggested changes.
- If the pathway is complete and meets the requirements for the Approved (see above), then add the Approved version tag.
If you have a question related to one of the pathways you reviewed, report it to our curation issues tracker by clicking the button below. Issues reported here will be discussed in the Community Curation meetings.
